Movie News: T.J. Miller Won’t Be Removed From Deadpool 2 Following Assault Alligations

If 2016 was the year where all our heroes died, 2017 was the year where our heroes became dead to us. Hollywood was hit with countless allegations towards their biggest stars following the exposing of the atrocities that Harvey Weinstein committed. The whole #MeToo movement brought to light all of the horrible acts that some individuals were capable of which was undoubtedly a good thing. It showed the people in power that they couldn’t just simply get away with doing unspeakable things and there are severe repercussions for your actions, even if they happened a long time ago.

The latest in the long-running scandals involve T.J. Miller, who has had some serious allegations levelled against him which you can read about here if you like. While the allegations are still being investigated at this time, the actor’s place within the work he is involved in has been called into question. If any of this ends up being true, he will probably be hit with Hell’s fury like many of his contemporaries have gone through. One such property is Deadpool 2, but it seems that Miller’s spot in it is safe for now.

Lauren Shuler told Rotten Tomatoes that the film is too late into its editing for them to cut Miller out completely and that the production is nearly over for the movie, making it almost impossible to simply strip Miller out of it. While we’re more inclined to believe the victims of alleged assaults, as it should be, Miller still has the right to defend himself. The allegations are severe and if true can lead to the downfall of the actor. We’ll have to wait and see how the story develops, but it seems Miller’s place in Deadpool 2 is set in stone for now.
