Quentin Tarantino’s latest movie remains one of the biggest mysteries along with being one of the most anticipated movies out there. We do have some loose bits of info that attempt to make a complete picture. We know the movie will be set on the backdrop of the famous Manson Family murders, but won’t actually be focused on the story of Manson and his cronies. Margot Robbie has been approached to play Sharon Tate as well as Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise showing interest in appearing in the film. Another rumoured castmember is Leonardo DiCaprio, who last appeared in Tarantino’s Django Unchained to great effect.
It was recently announced that DiCaprio is now officially on board with the film and has been cast as an ageing actor who we will follow the story of, which has been described as Pulp Fiction-esque. Production is still relatively early with the movie not even having an official title yet and thanks to the Weinstein Company’s downfall, it also got pushed back a little until it was picked up by Sony. The hope is to have the movie premiere in August of 2019 with filming set for this year.
DiCaprio has been killing it with him winning his first Oscar at long last and being in a multitude of acclaimed films. His performance in Django was also incredibly evocative and it will be interesting to see how he handles this role.
